NUS hosted an exclusive, invite-only symposium bringing together key players in intellectual property on 6 August 2025. Representatives from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) were in attendance, along with law academics and speakers.
As a speaker, COMPASS shared insights on how a Collective Management organization (CMO) in Singapore handles dispute resolutions, highlighting the various tools available for this purpose within the country’s legal framework.

The symposium was a productive session where attendees discussed the diverse ways copyright owners can take action to protect their creations and the legal resources allowed in each country. A key part of the conversation was also understanding how and when to pursue action for infringement, offering a comprehensive look at the challenges and decisions involved in copyright enforcement.
The session was hosted by Professors David Tan and Graeme Austin.
