CISAC: Strengthening royalty distribution across Asia-Pacific.

In late April 2026, CISAC arranged a Training and Discussion session for regional CMOs and PROs in Singapore. The session addressed challenges such as expedient data flows, resolving technical data ingestion accurately and quickly, especially with the rise of global streaming.

Recognizing that working in silos may be counter-productive, everyone took the opportunity to share their methods and discuss the latest trends affecting each specific countries. The session also enabled all societies to do a technical alignment.

Meeting face-to-face makes it much easier to have honest, detailed conversations about what’s happening on the ground in each country. These personal check-ins help everyone understand how our neighbours actually operate, especially since local copyright laws often vary. By talking through these differences, the group can better manage those “curveballs” or unique local rules that don’t always follow the standard regional playbook.
